Our Exec Team

Dr Lee Juby

Dr Lee Juby is CEO of Fuel Cell Systems Ltd, a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET with a doctorate from UMIST. He brings over 30 years’ experience in developing and commercialising advanced energy technologies.

His career includes senior roles at Rolls-Royce, Intelligent Energy, and NanoSUN, where he led major business transformations and hydrogen initiatives. Since January 2024, he has led Fuel Cell Systems’ growth and transition to series manufacturing.

Tom Chicken

Tom Chicken is CTO and founder of Fuel Cell Systems Ltd, and a recognised leader in hydrogen technology. He has led the development of innovative refuelling solutions, including the scalable HyQube system for large-scale operations.

His work includes key projects such as refuelling the UK’s first hydrogen train and advancing green hydrogen production, positioning him at the forefront of the energy transition.

Christopher O'Neill

Christopher O’Neill is Head of Operations at Fuel Cell Systems Ltd, with over 20 years’ experience delivering complex engineering programmes across defence and clean energy sectors. A Chartered Manager and Incorporated Engineer, he combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

He leads health, safety, quality, and end-to-end delivery across the hydrogen refuelling business, driving operational performance and supporting sustainable growth.

Joanne Griffin

Joanne Griffin is Head of Finance at Fuel Cell Systems Ltd, responsible for financial strategy, planning, and governance across the business. She oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls, supporting executive decision-making and sustainable growth as the company expands its hydrogen systems operations.
