Refuelling the UK’s first hydrogen fuel cell-powered ReachStacker
The UK’s first hydrogen fuel cell-powered ReachStacker is now operational at the Port of Tilbury London.
Our HyQube hydrogen refuelling system is supporting the project, dispensing green hydrogen supplied by GeoPura to fuel the new Hyster ReachStacker at 350 bar.
Designed for demanding container operations, the ReachStacker can operate for a full 12-hour shift before refuelling in under 30 minutes, helping demonstrate how hydrogen can support zero-emission heavy-duty equipment in real working environments.
For us, it’s particularly good to see the project progressing. Earlier this year we were at Tilbury demonstrating hydrogen technologies as part of the port’s hydrogen showcase, now we’re seeing that infrastructure supporting hydrogen-powered equipment in live operation.
