Keele University has launched the Green Hydrogen Generation Hub
Hydrogen might be taking a back seat in some conversations right now, but projects like this prove it shouldn’t be.
Keele University has launched its Green Hydrogen Generation Hub, a strong example of how renewable energy can be turned into something practical and usable.
By capturing excess wind and solar power, the site is producing green hydrogen that can be stored and used to refuel vehicles on campus. What might have been wasted energy is now a low carbon resource supporting both research and real-world decarbonisation.
Using our HyPro electrolyser and HyQube system, this hydrogen is produced, compressed, stored and dispensed onsite.
This isn’t theory. It’s a working example of how hydrogen fits into real energy systems today
Huge credit to Keele University for backing innovation and creating the space for projects like this to happen. This kind of progress only comes from collaboration and a willingness to lead.
If you’re wondering what hydrogen looks like in practice, this is it.
