Wireless CCTV utilises off-grid power from EFOY Pro fuel cells at G7 Summit.

Held in Cornwall from 11–13 June, the G7 Summit brought together global leaders including the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the President of the United States of America to discuss the most pressing challenges facing us all, from climate change to tackling the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Given the high profile nature of the event, the requirement to deliver robust, 24/7 security services was of paramount importance to the event organisers.

As part of the overall security solution, which was overseen by Atalian Servest, WCCTV was contracted to provide 24 Rapid Deployment CCTV Towers.

Powered by EFOY Pro fuel cells from Fuel Cell Systems, which provide extended autonomy of both power and transmission, the WCCTV Towers could be placed at strategic locations regardless of existing infrastructure.

This level of flexibility was invaluable to the event organisers and allowed for optimal CCTV coverage. The WCCTV Towers provided ongoing situational awareness, retrospective review opportunities and acted as a visible security presence.

Coupled with solar power, the fuel cells provided an emission free solution for a summit aiming to be carbon neutral.
