Welcome to the Fuel Cell Systems Power Calculator!

We’ve put this utility together to help you select the right fuel cell for your boat or caravan. All you need to do is enter on the left what equipment your using, how much power it uses and how long you use it for. (We’ve estimated some default values to make it easier).

Once we have an idea of your average daily usage, we run a few calculations to size the correct fuel cell.

When reading the results, please bear in mind that we’ve assumed no other sources of charging;

• Normally, if you have access to shore/site power, you’re going to use that.
• Every time you start the engine for leaving harbor/driving around, the alternator will charge the battery.
• Many people also use either solar or wind.

The fuel consumption and number of operating hours per year are therefore worst case. Please also note that the M28 is not compatible with the EFOY Comfort fuel cells.

Finally, the warranty offered on EFOY units is time based, not hour based – so there’s no need to worry about the operating hours really.
